Ian Eker is APAC Director for Proactive Technical Recruitment, based in Melbourne.
Proactive is the world's largest pure-play recruiter in industrial automation & robotics. Their Melbourne and Sydney teams work exclusively within Australia, NZ, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan’s industrial automation and robotics sectors. Working closely with colleagues in Europe and the US, they connect engineering and project leadership professionals with the biggest projects and most forward-thinking vendor-side solutions providers, consultancies and end clients. Proactive’s niche focus covers the design, installation and maintenance of pick and place robotics, AGV, AMR, ASRS and conveyored systems for applications in the automated warehousing, intralogistics materials handling, baggage handling, parcel and mail sortation, food & beverage and manufacturing sectors.
Prior to joining Proactive, Ian held the role of UK Head of Recruitment Strategy for Hays.
He has 3 grown-up children and lives in South Yarra.
